In Bern, there’s a particular word: äuä! We’ll get to what it means and when to use it best in a moment. First of all, I would like to introduce myself briefly. Hi! I´m Markus and I’m your host at Stay KooooK in Wankdorf City in Bern. I welcome you to one of the most beautiful, exciting, yet down to earth cities in Switzerland. It’s true, we Berner have a more relaxed attitude towards life, (some envious people call us slow). But at the same time, in the spirit of our most celebrated former resident, Albert Einstein, we constantly strive to innovate and find new ways of thinking. Bern is an amazing combination of beautiful nature, a World Heritage Site and modern business opportunities in the heart of Europe.

In the surroundings of our Stay KooooK in Wankdorf City you can find many cafés, restaurants and offices. The train station is within walking distance and traveling by S-Bahn, you have so much of Switzerland right at your doorstep. The old town of Bern is a World Heritage Site, the countless old buildings and over a hundred fountains provide unparalleled backdrops for the most relaxing of days (by the way, the best view of the old town is from the rose garden).
Äuä? Ah there it is again, this famous Bernese wordli. What does it mean? Anything and everything! It is simply a word for all occasions and we Berner use it at every opportunity. But you’ll find out for yourself soon enough.
