Europe’s largest student club, for example, resides in the 450-year-old underground vaults of the Moritzbastei, Johann Sebastian Bach worked for 27 years as Thomaskantor in St. Thomas Church, and the famous Auerbach’s Cellar, which Johann Wolfgang von Goethe made immortal with his Faust saga, is located in the elegant Mädlerpassage.

Today, Leipzig is a dynamic economic and cultural metropolis, a trade fair and university city, and the fastest growing major city in Germany. The quality of life and nightlife is second to none.
